Central Welfare Fund (CWF)
The main objective of this fund is to provide grant to augment welfare activities in field formations, field units and training institutions. And also financial help to the widows/ex service personnel, who are not covered under any other fund are also met out of this fund depending upon the necessity of the requirement.
(a) Welfare activities undertaken under this fund
(i) Welfare grant to Units/HQrs for welfare activities of Force personnel including provision of entertainment/recreational facilities.
(ii) Amenities/improvement in mess of Ors, SOs and Officers.
(iii) Special Diet to TB Patients on the recommendation of the Medical Officer.
(iv) Reimbursement of cost of spectacles to all Non-gazetted staff @ Rs500 within a spell of 5 years. Reimbursement of cost of denture to NGOs upto the rank of Inspectors on the recommendation of Medical Officers upto Rs. 500 at one time.
(v) Expenditure on Sports activities of the Force
(vi) Loans to GOs, SOs and other ranks including Civilian Staff are given out of this Fund at a nominal interest i.e. 6.25% per annum.
(vii) Provision of Inmarsats in remote areas of deployment.
(viii) To relieve stress and strain of men recreation facilities as under are provided:-

Contributory Benevolent Fund (CBF)
The main objective of this fund is to provide financial assistance to the BSF personnel/ families:-
(i) On death of BSF personnel
(ii) At the time of retirement
(iii) When boarded out medically
(a) Financial Assistance
The following financial assistance is provided to next of kin of the personnel who died while in service:-

Special Relief Fund (SRF)
The objective of this fund is to provide financial assistance to widows/NOKs of deceased personnel and medically boarded out personnel.
Following Financial assistance is rendered:-
(a) Immediate relief to the widow/NOK of deceased BSF personnel of
Rs. 5,000/-.
(b) Sewing machine or Rs 2,000/- in lieu thereof in normal death
(c) For marriage of one daughter/sister of deceased BSF personnel
(i) For normal death : Rs 40,000/-
(ii) Accidental /War/Action death : Rs 30,000/-
(iii) Sister’s marriage of deceased : Rs 40,000/-

(d) One daughter’s marriage of medically boarded out personnel Rs. 15,000/-
(e) Housing facilities for widows - 151 residential accommodation have been constructed for widows out of this fund at various locations.
(f) Financial Assistance for education of two children of the deceased BSF personnel till they attain age of 24 years
(g) Engagement of specialists and paramedical staff for the health-care of men and their families (as on 20-1-2009)

Central Education Fund
The education of the children poses a pestering problem for bordermen because of the nature of deployment and duties they perform while on active service. By virtue of service, the officers and men are posted in remote and inaccessible areas along the borders of the country where their children can neither receive parental guidance nor have normal educational facilities. To resolve this endless problem, BSF is running own primary schools, secondary schools and also technical institutions for the benefit of wards of BSF men. The objectives of the education scheme is to :-
(a) Take care of Educational needs of BSF children.
(b) Provide quality education at subsidised rates.
(c) Provide easy accessibility to education.
(d) Provide education to wards of widows of BSF personnel at nominal charges.
Following schools/Technical institutions are being run by BSF to achieve above said objectives :-
(a) Primary Schools : 29
(b) Senior Secondary Schools : 06
(c) Technical institutions : 04
(d) Hostels : 10
(e) BSF Boys hostel at Tigri, New Delhi : 01*
*for the benefit of BSF serving pers deployed in far flung areas and do not have accommodation in Delhi for study.

Besides above 19 KV schools are running in the BSF campus and more than 11 thousand students are studying in these schools. The schools are affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi.
Fee Concession / Assistance to Wards of Widows/ NOKs of Deceased BSF Personnel
The children can be admitted as boarder in any of the six BSF Senior Secondary Schools with the following facilities: -
· Rs.650/- PA from class VI to XII for summer clothing and Rs 350/- PA for winter clothing (for boarders).
· Wards of BSF widows are charged 50% tuition fee.
Books grant to the tune of Rs 200/- from class I – V, Rs. 400/- from class VI – X and Rs 500 for class XI – XII per annum is also given.

Admission to these Diploma courses is limited to the wards of BSF personnel (serving/retired and widows) with a few seats reserved for wards of personnel from IB and State Police Organizations of J&K, Punjab, Karnataka, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram & Nagaland.
Rustam Ji Institute of Technology

RJIT, affiliated to RGPV, Bhopal, was established in 1999, the Institution is engaged in imparting education and training to young budding technocrats, concept builders, designers and engineers capable of meeting challenges of 21st Century.
