 Various Schemes

  Serving Personnel

(i)    Loans to all NGOs and officers at low rate of interest i.e. 6.25%

      (ii)     Financial assistance to NOKs in case of death in              action/accidental death/ Normal death.

(iii)    Financial assistance to invalid cases depending on the nature and percentage of disability.

(iv)    Engaging specialists/para medical staff in hospitals.

(v)     Immediate medical advance either to individual or his family members.

(vi)    Financial assistance for the education of children.

(vii)   Financial assistance in case of prolonged hospitalization.

(viii)  Special diet to TB patients.

(ix)    Purchase of welfare buses for the conveyance of men.

(x)     Provision of INMARSAT telephone in remote areas of deployment.

(xi)    Provision of Indoor and outdoor games and recreational facilities for the men.

(xii)   Running of welfare centres for providing additional income to families.

(xiii)  Maintaining canteen, Cafeteria and PCOs at CGO Complex.

(xiv)  Provision of insurance facilities for men incase of untoward life threatening incidents

(xv)   Management of the primary and secondary schools and technical institutions for providing better education for the wards of BSF men at nominal cost.

                

Retired personnel including disabled

(a)              Financial assistance at the time of retirement

(b)             Financial assistance for the marriage of one daughter of the personnel boarded out on medical grounds.

(c)              Rehabilitation of disabled and medically boarded out personnel.

                                                     

   Widows/NOKs

(a)              Processing and obtaining payment from insurance companies.

(b)             Provision of sewing machine

(c)              Financial assistance for the education of two children till attainment of 24 years.

(d)             Rehabilitation of widows/NOKs

(e)              Financial assistance for the marriage of one daughter in case of married person or one sister in case of bachelor.

(f)               Housing facilities for widows.

(g)              Employment opportunities for widows/dependents.
